In addition, as in previous years, the Membrane Transport Subgroup also will be participating in the Cole Award Dinner, so don’t forget to secure your tickets when you register for the meeting! — Arun Anantharam , Chair Macromolecular Machines and Assemblies The Macromolecular Machines and Assemblies (MMA) Subgroup has a tradition of covering an array of enzymes and proteins, with an emphasis on the structural and mech- anistic principles underlying their mechanism of action. Our Subgroup meeting will be held during the Biophysical Society (BPS) Annual Meeting in San Francisco on Saturday, February 19, 2022 (morning session). Kindly join the MMA family to celebrate work from several young investigators who are using state-of-the art structural, computational, and biophysical tools to investigate enzymatic

systems from CRISPR to complex RNA binding proteins. Invited speakers include Lucas Farnung (Harvard University), Elizabeth Kellogg (Cornell University), Allison Williams (Uni- versity of California, San Francisco), Margaret Rodgers (Johns Hopkins University), CJ Lim (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Ashley Nord (CNRS), Willow Coyote-Maestas (University of California, San Francisco), Subhas Bera (IZKF), and additional speakers selected from posters. We eagerly look forward to meeting all of you in person and to bringing together researchers from multiple disciplines to exchange ideas, foster new collaborations, and expand the MMA family of investigators. Please show your support by registering for our Subgroup when you sign up for BPS mem- bership and the meeting. We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco! — Edwin Antony , Chair — Arne Gennerich , Chair-Elect
