Sogang University, Department of Chemistry and Institute for Basic Science As you move forward in science, what type of research do you see yourself doing? Why? My research topic is investigating the underlying physics of lipid membranes by means of molecular dy- namics simulations and statistical mechanics. Currently, I am focused on revealing the diffusion mechanism of simple membranes such as single to tertiary component lipid bilayers. Recently, I discovered that the physical origin of facilitated yet non-Gaussian diffusion of cholesterol. In the future, I hope to contribute to the research field of computational drug development.
