University of Wisconsin, Madison Biophysics Program What do you wish you knew before you began your studies in biophysics?

I wish that I had more background on physical chemistry. This includes thermodynamics, kinetics, and un- derstanding how environmental factors such as salt, temperature, etc. affect the bioprocess. Also, I would want to know the quantum mechanism helps to understand the principles of spectroscopy and cryo-EM, which support optimization and prevent misinterpreting the results. I already study a lot of these subjects in my PhD, but I wish I could have learned them earlier.
