in biological systems such as membrane proteins, as well as how we can modulate their activity. Beyond my sheer curiosity and fascination for this topic, membrane proteins play important roles in cellular/organism homeostasis, whereas defects in their operation lead to diseases. Also, computa- tional and theoretical approaches can be excitingly interdisciplinary and provide information to under- stand complex biological phenomena from simpler, controlled models.

As you move forward in science, what type of research do you see yourself doing? Why? I would love to continue computationally investigating the structure-function interplay
