Biophysical Journal promises scientific excellence, integrity, and transparency. The journal spans a wide range of subjects and disciplines that provide quantitative insight into fundamental problems at the molecular, cellular, systems, and whole-organism levels. Articles are written to be of interest to a broad community of biophysicists. Experimental studies must have a theoretical or mechanistic underpinning.
